About Me

My full name is Saini, Jasdeepkaur I usually go by Jasdeep or Jas Saini. I graduated high school from Howard High School, Macon GA. Now, I am about to graduate with associate of science with Leadership Distinction in Professional and Civic Engagement pathway, from University of South Carolina, Sumter. I am further planning to go to University of North Carolina or North Carolina State University to major in Business. 

 

I was born and brought up in Gujrat, India. I moved to the United States with my family, as immigrants in 2018 and that’s when my dream come true, of living and being a part of the America. I was an introvert from the beginning, but I became more and more introvert as I went to a different school in India after 10th grade and had completed new friends and right after one and half years, in the beginning of my senior year, I moved to the United States. The schools here were completed different, I went to a private school my entire life in India but had to go to a public school here. It was a magical moment for me, I had seen such hallways and schools in High School Musical. I was completely in a new environment, new people, new society, new country, hopefully I knew English before, so it was not that hard for me. I came to GA first and the people won’t understand my Indian accent English well and I would not understand their southern Accent English. But eventually I got used to it and I am developing the American accent now. In high school I had faced a huge stressful situation, as I had completed my school till 11th grade in India, somehow, I didn’t have enough credits to graduate and be in 12th grade.  So, the counselor told me that I would have to repeat a whole year or take 4 addition classes and do that on my own, online from home after school. I did that I took 2 semesters of Environmental Science and Precalculus. And I finally the hard work was worth it, and I graduated high school in May 2019, I actually completed 11th and 12th grade in one year. Later my parents decided to move to SC, and I enrolled in USC Sumter. I have discovered so many new things in this town. Sumter has been so lucky for me in the past 2 years, I have achieved so many things, I started going to a university, started working, got my own bank account, got my own credit card and I’m building my credit, got my driver’s license, got myself a latest brand-new iPhone on my birthday and so much more. And now going to get my first ever college degree, that too from University of South Carolina and that too with leadership Distinction. 

 

I feel my journey has just started and there is so much more to achieve in life, I plan on owning multiple business and helping my dad in his business, buying my own new house and new car, be an American citizen soon in future. After graduating from USC Sumter, I will move to NC and complete my bachelor’s Degree and after that, I plan on studying and getting my real-estate license.
